I grew up in Brooklyn…four miles from Coney island in the Fred Trump development interestingly enough…I married a Canadian, and at the time the US was still drafting for the army so I had to move up north…We didn’t have a car…we even did our honeymoon on the greyhound…When I retired I moved to Hamilton because of the buses…I kept hearing about the Red Book of Hamilton…so many things to do in Hamilton, services from birth to death I tell you…I didn’t want to grow old in Oakville. I wanted buses, I need good public transportation… I need to walk, I need to be able to do the things I have to do without needing a car…I actually stopped a bus driver just to tell him that he was the reason I moved here. He didn’t really understand what I was saying.
